Chasys Draw IES

The awesome thing about Chasys Draw IES, a tool developed by self-taught Kenyan programmer John Paul Chacha, tool that used to be known as Chasys Draw Artist, is that you can use it to perform a lot of tasks, from something as banal as viewing and converting images to something a bit more complicated like creating an animation. The Chasys Draw project started back in November 2001 and the application has since evolved from a rather basic bitmap editor to a powerful graphics editing tool.

You can install Chasys Draw IES on a PC that meets the following minimal system requirements: Pentium 3 600MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 550MB of free disk space, monitor capable of 1280x1024 resolution. These are the minimal requirements; the recommended system requirements for Chasys Draw IES are: i7 quad-core 2.66GHz processor, 2GB or RAM or more, 3GB of free disk space, monitor that can support 1600x1200 resolution or higher. Chasys Draw IES works with Windows 8, 7, Vista, XP, Server 2008, and Server 2003.

The interface is pretty much what you would expect from a graphics editor: the image or animation you’re working on is displayed in the middle, a traditional File menu and several buttons are placed in the upper left hand corner, floating tool boxes are placed around the image or animation you’re working on. It is an efficient layout that will help you get the job done as fast as possible.

When you launch the application, you will be presented with a New Project prompt that asks you what you want to do. You can choose one of the following: start with a blank composition, start a blank composition for print, create an animation sequence, create a CD or DVD label, scan a picture and edit it, create a static icon or cursor, create an animated cursor, come up with an animated brush object, record video from the webcam or TV, take a screenshot and edit it, load a template object. No matter which one you choose, one thing is certain: you will be provided with all the tools you need to edit images, create animations, come up with a DVD label, and more.
